When entering this historical farm you feel like immersing into history. Nestled secretively in a valley lush with vineyards, forests, abundant water and ancient oak trees this farm was established in 1721. The oldest building built around this time has been carefully restored and presently used as an elegant guest accommodation.
The main house dates from 1800 was partially destroyed by a fire in 1900 and later rebuilt in Victorian style. The interior still reminds the visitor of this period. Surrounded by leafy forest and garden with magnificent views towards Table Mountain the original Cape Dutch wine cellar (circa 1800) was converted to a function venue with seating facilities for up to 150 guests. There is a comfortable, elegant lounge and bar adjacent to the cellar. The farm offers 14 hectares of vineyards (Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), equestrian facilities as well as two guest cottages. There are four residential homes on the spacious property which can also be used as guest accommodation. Water is provided by a spring and two dams.
