This spectacular property is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in the middle of a juniper orchard and surrounded by Venetian stucco walls that by no means prevent enjoyment of the surrounding landscape. The house was built in the mid-1990s according to a design by Philippe Starck. It became his personal residence and some of the best inspiration for his work came from this little oasis of peace. It comes on a plot of 37,000 m2 and consists of two houses; a main house and a guest house where everything is natural, bright, relaxed and almost primitive. Quiet and cosy, yet deeply connected to its vernacular roots and intertwined with nature, Philippe Starck himself explains that “it takes inspiration from the architecture to be found on the island of Capri, specifically the Casa Malaparte”. Large windows look out into the sea, the light and the beautiful landscape; beauty that can be enjoyed even more from under the large porch, in a circular tub that entirely covers to 100 m2 swimming pool. The interior consists of 400 m2 characterised by great simplicity of design and decoration without excess. The property would seem to be anchored in simplicity and exist within its own laws of space and time: wooden tables and chairs consumed by time, sun loungers made from branches and vines, tree trunk furniture, plant fibres, etc. The guest house is divided into two fully-equipped studios..
