Ozunca Băi resort is located in the Ozunca valley, in Covasna county, at an altitude of 750 meters and is a spa resort that raises a growing interest due to its fairytale location but also due to the curative quality of the waters here. The resort was formed around mineral springs in the Ozunca spring region in 1896, when there were pools with wooden edges, filled with mineral water. Ozunca water is known for its beneficial effects, especially among children without appetite, in the form of drinking cures, but also treats various diseases: cardiovascular, digestive, kidney and urinary tract diseases, respiratory diseases, neurosis asthenic, endocrine disorders. At Ozunca Bai, the main tourist attraction is the swamp with mineral water, a unique and protected nature reserve, where very rare flowers and plants grow, such as the ash flower or the carnivorous plant Drosera. However, an important attraction is the mineral water spring from Pisztrangos, very rich in calcium, whose deposits have made a huge cone of limestone bush. Also, other attractions in the area are: Merești Cave located 45 km from Vârghișului and Ozunca Gorges, Biborțeni, Bodvaj Furnace, and the nature reserves around Aita Mare village. Ozunca Băi Resort is today one of the most important tourist attractions in Szeklerland.
