Located on the outskirts of Eupen, in the Kettenis district, Château de Thal was built between 1754 and 1757 as a country residence for the cloth merchant and mayor of Eupen, Renier-François Grand Ry, and is surrounded by ± 1 ha of wooded grounds. Completely renovated in 1986 by trompe-l'œil artist Rainer Maria Latzke from Euskirchene, this Baroque-style castle has a surface area of 1,057 m² (according to the PEB) and comprises vast reception rooms on the ground floor, comprising two lounges with open fireplaces, a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen with its own service entrance.
