Born and raised in Maryland, Doug has a great appreciation for the outdoors, especially fishing. As an avid fisherman and long time boater Doug spent every chance available on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean, which lead him and his wife Sharon to make a major lifestyle change by moving to Ocean City, MD in 2000. Doug is no stranger to sales and marketing, having spent 25 years as an outside salesman for one of the country's largest plumbing and heating wholesalers, which taught him the importance of customer satisfaction. In 2004, Doug began a career in the marine industry as a broker of new and brokerage boat sales. He is currently a Sales Associate with Bluewater Yacht Sales for the Coastal Delmarva area. His attention to detail and knowledge of the industry are just a few of the reasons his customers appreciate his ability to find or sell the right boat. "My job doesn't end with the sale or purchase of your boat, but through continued support long after the transaction closes", said Doug. With Doug's work ethic and dedication to delivering the best in customer service, he was the perfect person to help his wife and Associate Broker Sharon Curtiss with her growing real estate business and she encouraged him to get his real estate license in 2012. We look forward to assisting others realize their dream of owning a place near the beach. Doug's interests include sporting clays, fishing and vacation trips to Mexico, NASCAR racing (and any racing generally). In 1979, Doug was rewarded with his first White Marlin and a membership into the Ocean City Marlin Club, which he continues to be a member of today.
