As the world slowly opens for travel during COVID-19, Dubai is one of the many countries to welcome global tourists.

The sandy beaches, luxurious resorts and spectacular theme parks are an invitation to a fun-filled vacation indeed.

To ensure a smooth experience in Dubai, here are the latest Standard Operating Procedure if you wish to visit Dubai in 2020.

Before you plan ahead for your trip;

Depending on your nationality you can get a visa upon arrival, or you can apply for a travelling visa from the Dubai Consulate in your country before you travel.

Before you travel for your trip;

  • If Dubai is your final destination, you must ONLY take a negative COVID‑19 PCR test before departure and bring the certificate to check‑in.
  • The test must be taken 96 hours before departure.
  • Bring an official, printed certificate in English or Arabic to check‑in - without a printed negative test certificate, you will not be accepted on the flight.
  • Children under the age of 12 and passengers who have a moderate or severe disability are exempt from this test.

When you arrived at the Check-In;

All travellers to Dubai, including passengers with a connecting flight, must complete a health declaration form and give it to the staff at check‑in.

When you are in the flight to Dubai;

If Dubai is your final destination, you will need to complete the quarantine undertaking form given to you on board.

When you have finally arrived in Dubai;

  • Give your quarantine undertaking form to the Dubai Health Authority.
  • You may need to take another COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival. Once taken, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result.
  • If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.
  • You must also download the COVID19 – DXB Smart App, which is available on Google and Apple stores.

While the prospect of travelling again is tempting, please stay safe and aware of your surroundings. Let us ensure to continue flatenning the COVID-19 curve. Have a safe tavels!
