分享:

The London Borough of Sutton is located in South West London and has 42 primary schools, 14 secondary schools, 3 special schools, and 8 private schools. According to the 2011 census, the borough has a total population of 191,100 and covers an area of 43.85 square kilometers. The borough has a crime rate of 4.74%, which is within the London average. There are nine government-run libraries in the borough, as well as a mobile library and home library service. There are 89 parks and open public spaces within the borough.
The borough is home to 60.8% of residents aged 20-64. The district's economically active population consists of 58% of full-time workers and 6% of the unemployed. Self-employed persons accounted for 15 percent of the active workforce. Residents of the region with a diploma or higher make up 30.1% of the total population. According to the 2011 Census report, White British people in the district made up 70.9% of the local population and the Chinese made up 1.2%.
As one of the best school districts in London, and even in the UK, the quality of teaching in Sutton District schools is highly praised by parents. When sharing their experience of choosing a school, some parents have mentioned that in order to get their children into a better state school, they have to pay more attention to the quality of education in the school. Parents attend a weekly church service, either English National or Catholic so that the child can enter the church school. They also have chosen to move to the Sutton area. The proportion of pupils who are able to get into their first-choice schools has been declining year on year as state school entry has become more competitive. However, the proportion of Sutton pupils who are successful in gaining entry to a first-choice primary school is 84% of the borough's total applications, the highest proportion of any London borough one. 8% of Sutton Borough pupils entered a second-choice primary school. Only 3.8% of pupils did not enter a self-selecting school.
